    • I’m With You

      From Bistro September 11

Any time! It was this time last year I came here, and Doug - "bc2" - had a world of information for me. It's a year later, and really the only the people who "get it" are the ones I met here. I'd been going from doctor to doctor, and getting nowhere. Doug told me to get a RD, find out my prognosis, and get a treatment plan. He directed me how to get what I need from my RD. He's been on a DS break, but you may want to PM him anyway, he comes in to check his stuff from time to time, to get some ideas about what to ask your RD. Here's his link:

Also, if you post about your appointment, other members will have good ideas for you as well. Better to go in well-armed, and not leave till all your questions are answered. Just for fun, I found my old post about "migratory" - http://www.dailystrength.org/c/Rhe...

Actually, that is exactly how mine started, in my right shoulder. In fact I remember two years ago this week getting an mri of it and when they put that tiny pillow under the shoulder blade, it pushed things in such a way it felt like a machete was lodged in the joint. There was a lot of motion distortion in the films because I just couldn't hold it in that postion. Two different orthopedic doctors told me "nothing was wrong" and to take some advil. Then it, like you said in your post, moved to my left shoulder. By the following March it grapped my neck, jaw, elbow, knees, and finally was just about everywhere. So, yes, to answer your question. So glad you're getting in next week. Have you tried any prednisone yet? They may give you that. It was like the instant miracle drug for me.

Best with your visit. Sounds like you got to it 'early' enough and that is good. Get a plan, stay on top of it. It's strange to say, but two years later I feel better today than I have in years.

      Take care.

Thanks for the compliment, I chronically change my avatar. So, how are you holding up? Did you have any luck finding a new doctor?
