Close Insomnia

Had major surgery in late June, had anesthesia for close to 8 hours. Recovered from surgery well, but from about 3 weeks postop have had major insomnia problems and cannot seem to find cure. It is almost like a manicky thing (and I have never had that type diagnosis). Some nights I am fine and most nights I am not. Have tried herbal, homeopathic, warm milk, calcium/mag supplements, and many many different sleeping meds. I am off pain meds postop, drink ONE caffeine a day in am, not napping.

worked one night (double dose), not next night

Ativan Working / Worked

occ take for muscle spasms (surgery was bil total joints), doesn't seem to help sleep

Halcion Working / Worked

worked well when I had trouble sleeping preop due to pain. Suddenly isn't helping now.

on good nights it is fine but on a bad night it doesn't seem to matter

ok except like tonight when I literally feel twitchy
