That first month is pretty brutal, I was angry at everyone for no reason pretty much all the time, but you can do this, and it is such a pleasure to not have to leave the house to go get more smokes, or to stand outside a bar in the cold, or to fret on a bus trip how long it will be before the next smoke break. It took me a few times before it stuck, and I only have eight months smoke free, so I have a while before I can say I am a non-smoker.

You have my support and even for just trying determingly, my admiration.

Beverly, Congratulations on your decision to quit. I read that the day that you quit smoking your lungs starts to heal that fast. My husband also quit and he feels better than he ever did. He also gained the sense of smell that he never had. Good Luck!
