Prior, extensive history of depression/anxiety. Currently dealing with major physical symptoms, some of which are common in depression, plus others... am being diagnosed w/depression, but feel that's not it-I'm down because I hurt, not the other way around. I think. Hoping for insight from others who've been here!
My 5 year old daughter was diagnosed with SID at age 3. Every day (moment!) presents new challenges, and I can use all the support I can get helping guide her through her days & her path to growing up. Our family really doesn't "get it" and I'd love to talk with people who do.
I've been struggling for over a year now with almost all the symptoms of fibromyalgia. Pain & fatigue being the worst, that fog that steals my days away. In November I finally saw my doctor about it: chiro care & anti-depressants, no relief. I have a history of depression, but have been doing well-other than down from pain & fatigue. I feel in my heart & gut mental illness isn't the cause, but am starting to doubt when all I hear is let's try new head meds...
I am trying to find out what is causing all my symptoms. I have many of the CFS & Fibro issues, and am hoping to learn more about this, from real people rather than the text book definitions.
Skipping all the details you all know so well, after years of pain I was diagnosed with fibromyalgia a few weeks ago & just was told I have degenerative joint disease in my lower back. I am only 31 & having a hard time accepting/dealing with the reality of my health.
