Don't freak on the hair thing. There is a silver lining to every cloud you just have to find it.
I just came off the prednisone and my hands are starting to get rough and crack again. I am afraid I might have to go back on the prednisone and I really don't want to do that because of the weight gain. My muscles ache mostly at night after being on my feet and working all day. I am constantly tired. I hope your symptoms stay under control. Good Luck!

I was diagnosed on June 15th with dermatomyositis after a vacation in S carolina. Ive had all the symptoms,red itchy rash on face shoulders, chest even eyes and ears. My fingers are stiff and painful, with red puffy soreness around the cuticles, I had an episode of muscle weakness in June lasting about a week. I could hardly raise my legs to put on my pants, or could hardly get in and outf bed or a car. Thank God it just was a week. I feel very fatigued, little strength,
