      My husband has cirrhosis, liver cancer and renal failure. He also suffers from chronic hepatic encephalopathy.Anyone else deal with this? He has been hospitalized 7 times since Jan for this.

      Treatments

      Lactulose Working / Worked
      My husband claims it does not work whether he takes it once a day or the prescribed 4 times per day. What helps the liver is not good for the kidneys. We have a very thin line to walk now.
