Close Fibromyalgia
In 1985 had Lymes Disease. Have had chronic pain and fatigue ever since. It has become worse over the years. Also get nasty migraine headaches. Survived a brain tumor in 1997. I have the worst time after working a shift or two at my job. Stress really makes it worse as well.
Treatments
- Cyclobenzaprine Somewhat Helpful
- Makes me sleepy during the day.
- Cymbalta Somewhat Helpful
- I am taking it now, I don't really think it is helping anymore. It was at first with the depression,but not the pain.
- Effexor Working / Worked
- This worked for a while, but its effectiveness wore off.
- Elavil Somewhat Helpful
- Not using any more. More tired than I already am. Weight gain on this medication is also a problem.
Close Sexual Abuse
I was molested by an Intern (doctor) when I was 10 years old. I was attacked by a ranch hand at a friends horse farm when I was 11. I was molested at knife point at age 11 or 12. I was raped when I was 13. Life just got really messed up after all of that.
Open Migraine Headaches
I have had migraine headaches for as long as I can remember. I don't experience an aura before my headache, I just feel extremely tired. Sometimes they last for days, sometimes for hours. Not many things have helped.
Treatments
- Avoid Certain Foods / Chemicals Working / Worked
- chocolate is one of the main foods that trigger the headaches. I do not use cologne and can't handle being around those who do.
- Compazine Working / Worked
- haven't used for many years, did help the nausea and vomiting
- Feldene Not Working
- Did not help at all
