Diagnosed Aug. 2008. After a year, I think I've found a drug combo that works, Mobic, Plaquenil and Enbrel. I'm experimenting with diet and exercise to be at my best. This disease has taken my career as an Assistant Prop Master for film and tv, and life-as-I-knew-it, away. I'm trying to rebuild my life far away from LA, and deal with my new "child", RA. (btw, I miss CA more than words can express.)

Close Rheumatoid Arthritis
I want contact with other people with RA. Aug 5 will be one year. I'm feeling pretty isolated.
Treatments
- Enbrel Working / Worked
- Helps a lot but not totally. Gives me extreme anxiety, mood swings, and, sometimes, rage. Deep cystic acne too!
- Folic Acid Working / Worked
- took it with methotrexate but stopped when methotrexate elevated my liver enzymes
- Methotrexate Working / Worked
- Worked with Enbrel but it elevated my liver enzymes after 5 months. I was taken off the drug and started on plaquenil.
- Plaquenil Working / Worked
- Is helping but not a total fix. Expect all my meds to be changing soon
- Azulfidine Working / Worked
- Was added to my Mobic Plaquenil Enbrel cocktail but elevated my liver enzymes after 30 days . I was taken off the drug.
