Close Ovarian Cancer
My mom has survived ovarian cancer for 6 years, and starting to fail. The treatment options through Kaiser at this point would not be good choices for her.
Treatments
- Carboplatin Somewhat Helpful
- This is one treatment my mom has used.
- Chemotherapy Working / Worked
- Carboplatin was infused as well as other chemo agents.
- Gemcitabine Working / Worked
- My mom was on Gemzar for a long time, and did the best on that, but we understood there are limits.
- Taxotere Working / Worked
- This was the first chemo treatment used for my mom. It made her very sick and did not decrease her CA-125.
