Close Addison's Disease
45 years post bilateral adrenalectomy - surgical Addison's Disease- for Cushing's syndrome. 1 only Adiisonian crisis in 1995.
Treatments
- Cortisol Working / Worked
- Used in past. Made me gain weight - cushingoid appearance
- Florinef Working / Worked
- Works well. Without it my potassium climbs and I feel weak with muscle pains. 100mcg (0.1 mg) / day
- Prednisone Working / Worked
- Cant do without it. Need to remember to increase amount for even the slightest stress. 12.5 mg. day
Close Multiple Myeloma
I was diagnosed in 2002. Now in remission
Treatments
- Thalidomide Working / Worked
- Recently discontinued because of osteonecrosis of jaw. Has caused significant neuropathy
- Zometa Working / Worked
- Discontinued recently because of osteonecrosis of jaw
- Prednisone Working / Worked
- Was on it primarily for replacement after bilateral adrenalectomy. 12.5 mg daily
