Yes it is normal to feel the way you do during sex with your partner.....believe it or not it will subside & you Will learn to open up to him, it's taken me nearly four years with my husband but I promise if he is loving & supportive you will get there together! It's definately something you are left with after being raped or abused though so dont beat yourself up about it. It also has an affect on your pregnancy & birth, as it did with my son but it's kind of like a therapy as you love them so unconditionally that you learn to love their innocence & you go through so many emotions it's like a form of healing (or it was for me) I hope you are ok & your wedding went well. x

Last week was my 10 year marker from when I was raped. Lots of life changing events are happening now (wedding, wanting to start a family) and I just want it past me.
