      I am 44 years old and live in North Carolina, but am from Indiana. I've been married for 20 years and have two wonderful teenage boys. I was diaganosed with bipolor 2 about 3 yrs. ago. I also have Borderline Personality Disorder and a long time eating disorder. I do a lot of self-injury (impulsive) when I get sick, and I'm also a survivor of child abuse.

    • Interests

      I love to crochet and am currently teaching myself to knit. I hate to cook, but enjoy baking. I read a lot and do puzzle books. I love to walk in the woods in the fall taking in all the colors, but mostly I'm an inside person and keep to myself.

      Sorry about the chiropractor ... I used to go really regularly but it never seemed to make any lasting changes for me. Hope you feel better soon!

      lower back pain just above the tailbone. Have had this for over 20 years

      Chiropractic Adjustment Somewhat Helpful
      Seemed to make it worse in the long run.
      Flexeril Somewhat Helpful
      It helped some, but not enough so I took more than the recommended dose and couldn't remember how to walk.

    • Close Bipolar Disorder

      I have bipolor 2 along with other diagnoses.

      Abilify Working / Worked
      I did well on abilify, but can't afford it.
      Depakote Not Working
      Quit taking because my hair was falling out and caused weight gain.
      Geodon Too Soon to Tell
      Causing my stomach to burn.
      Haldol Somewhat Helpful
      Caused drowsiness and weight gain, so quit taking it.
      Lithium Somewhat Helpful
      Quit taking because of weight gain.
      Wellbutrin Somewhat Helpful
      Don't remember, was a few years back.

    • Open GERD & Heartburn

      Have had burning stomach with lower back pain for over 20 years. Getting worse as I get older.

      Antacids Not Working
      Have to take a lot of theses.
      Pepcid Somewhat Helpful
      Short-term relief.
      Prilosec Somewhat Helpful
      short-term relief.

    • Open Eating Disorders
      Type: Anorexia

      I have had an eating disorder since the age of 15 and am now 44.

      Dietitian Consult Somewhat Helpful
      Don't trust this.
      Group Therapy Working / Worked
      very helpful.

      Am on that now.
      Psychotherapy Working / Worked
      Am doing this currently.

      Very hard, but a good experience.
