I had a blood clot in Sept 2008 & a piece went to my lung. In checking to see if that had happened they saw a spot on my lung. That was removed, I had 8 rounds of chemo radiation. I just had a PET scan that was clear & showed no signs of cancer. I started 10 days ago taking Tarceva & hope I have beaten this. I have never smoked & my maid problem is that I had it in several lymph nodes - hopefully positive thinking will let me beat this disease!

Close Lung Cancer
I had a blood clot in my leg in Sept 2008 when a piece broke off & went to my lung. In a CAT scan checking that they saw a spot on my lung that was cancerous. I had the top 1/3 of my lung removed, have done 3 rounds of chemotherapy & 33 radiation treatments. I had a PET scan 7/13/09 & it was clear with no cancer. I have now started on Tarceva and pray 24 hours each day that it stays away!!
Treatments
- Chemotherapy Working / Worked
- Had 8 rounds of chemotherapy - each one affected memore & made me more tired. I had good medicine & never did get sick.
- Tarceva Too Soon to Tell
- I have just been taking it since 7/18/09
- Radiotherapy Working / Worked
- I had 33 radiation treatments they only made me tired but did not really affect me too much. I had a burning sensation in my throat during the treatments as they were treating my lymph nodes.
