I'm working on staying ahead of my disease. One day, I want to see this period of sickness and struggle to be a reflection of all the things I've learned. I've found that living with a chronic illness feels like a fast track through life an I've experienced a lot of personal trauma not only physically but emotionally. My story is not over, that's why there's a hope ring on my finger. And when I struggle no more, I'll still be wearing it because there is so much in life to hope for.
