Close Colon Cancer
Stage: IIIB (T3-4, N1, M0)I was diagnosed with stage III colon cancer in March 2007.
Treatments
- 5-FU Working / Worked
- Had a port installed and wore a bag for 6 weeks, 24x7.
- Oxaliplatin Working / Worked
- Absolutely kicked my butt. Very difficult to deal with and I ended up terminating treatment early.
- Radiotherapy Working / Worked
- The treatments themselves were painless, but two years after the fact, I have permanent damage in my rectum that causes daily rectal pain and spasms.
- Surgery Working / Worked
- Had a colon resection in June 2007, emergency colosty in July 2007 (colon burst), and colostomy reversal in June 2008.
