Close Lyme Disease
20 yr survivor of Lyme! Bitten 4-7 times now, last bite 2 months ago, only one pos. titer back in 1990, 3 pics of 3 dif. bite rashes & still kickin to tell the tale of waiting 3 yrs to get disability..!!!
Treatments
- Ceftriaxone Too Soon to Tell
- Taking form of: called Cefdinir, not sure if working at all, only one month on it now, still feel the same so far, Gabapentin could be helping with hip pain, I seem to be able to walk for longer periods of time, but that could just be because I'm so stubborn! I still fall because legs give out, and knees also. (My hands still feel like I'm turning into a mummy, yet It could be from nerve pain or dehydration. Its hard to clench my forearm crutches for too long, they give out from pain too.)
Close Back Pain
Had a fibroid tumor removed from left of spine(top of hip) and have never been the same. Doc did tell me that if he took the last 1/4 out, I'd never walk again. Heck, nothing left to lose, the pain just gets worse now that I also have a pinched nerve to go along with it, and use forearm crutches now....
Treatments
- Acupuncture Considering
- suggested, might give a try, some say its helped, some dont know when I've asked others
- Chiropractic Adjustment Somewhat Helpful
- Worked until it made a cyst burst that I didnt know was there with baby parts in it to boot....has happened twice now in six month period, last one wasnt with parts, thank god, just dont have sex much anymore now, cant anyways really.....
- Epidural Injection Not Working
- MADE IT MUCH, MUCH WORSE, WHEN DOC TRIED TO GO IN TO GET LYME TITER, AND THEN ALL HELL BROKE LOOSE BECAUSE OF ALL THE SCAR TISSUE THERE....!
- Hydrocodone Working / Worked
- Body got used to it, switched to Gabapentin by new LLMD
- Ibuprofen Working / Worked
- Get headaches that come and go with the pain, and sometimes a little boost with the gaba so I dont have to up that more helps, but short lived relief
- Morphine Not Working
- Tried in emergency rooms, failed miserably, I get jittery, they said from allergy to, and my heart panics like it wants to run away from body!
- Naproxen Not Working
- tried, but I got rashes on hands from, that caused peeling from itching that made hands bleed to bone from itching in sleep! Allergy???
- Physical Therapy Considering
- maybe I'll try next, but with muscle weakness this scares me because I know how long afterwards pain will set in for days, I'm in enough pain, but doc does recommend giving a try 3x's week...I cant let muscles atrophy! Must keep moving!
- Relaxation Not Working
- You can only rest so much when your in so much pan, its better to rotate between sitting, walking and laying, etc..
- Stretching Not Working
- Told to try, cannot without wanting to die for 4 days afterwards from pain....!
- Massage Working / Worked
- relaxes me more than anything else gets endorphines flowing for better circulation? have to use pain gel with though and that just masks the real pain until later but it still puts me to sleep which I have a big problem with because of pain....
Open Restless Legs Syndrome
Tried Mirapex but it didnt go too well....have lyme and legs always feel funny when trying to sleep anyways....dont know what else to do about it, hope to get some advice from others than doc so far...

- Gave me depression symptoms to the maximum on only 3-400mgs daily! Had to stop after only a few months....
- Vitamin B12 Too Soon to Tell

- Helps relieverelax nerve pain until later time so I can get to sleepKindof how adrenalin helps you to not notice the pain in a fight!
