Stage: I (T1 N0)

i was diagnosed with IDC in november, 2005, had a right breast mastectomy followed by chemotherapy and tamoxifen. i had reconstructive breast surgery. in december, 2006, i was having sensitivity of the nipple on the left breast and decided to have a preventative mastectomy of the left only to learn that i had DCIS when the pathologist did his report following the surgery.

a/c chemotherapy. worst experience was losing my hair, eye lashes, eye brows. i was sick to my stomach for several days after every treatment and very tired.

Mastectomy Working / Worked

i had double mastectomy done a year apart and had no real pain or discomfort from either of them.
