  Good luck with your scan - you'll be fine! Thanks for your message - I think everyone on DS knows my history but just in case you've missed it - basically I was increasingly breathless for about 12 months, wrongly diagnosed with asthma, COPD in fact everything except PEs! PEs led to pulmonary hypertension so I was absolutley frantic - but - doing fine now thanks!
  This site has been a great support for me and I'm sure that you'll make some superb friends too. The vast wealth of knowledge here far outweighs anything that I have learnt from my doctors!
  Due to a bit of a security scare I've deleted most of my personal details from my profile but I too am from the UK and I'm due for my bus pass later this year! Recovery from a PE is like being on a roller coaster ride but it does get better - we just need to be very patient and think about ourselves for a change - love Sandi
