I am curently a stay at home mother of two boys (5 & 6). In my former life, I worked as an Electrical Engineer and am still a bit detail oriented and analytical. One of my passions is health and nutrition and after my mothers diagnosis of AML Sept 2008, I became very interested in progress made in the area of AML treatment options.

Close Acute Myelogenous Leukemia (AML)
I lost my mother to AML in Dec 2008. It is still fresh in my mind the difficult road we traveled but I thank God for the time we had with her. My cousin and brother-in-law currently have other types of leukemia. Several other family members have had rare forms of cancer. I am very interested learning more about promising alternative treatments for leukemia and research on causes. It is my hope that there will be better treatment options for those who have AML. My hope is in God.

- Chemotherapy Not Working
- During the second round of Chemo, mom got a fungal infection in her lung and it took over her body.
