    • About Me

I am an exercise science professional with a concentration in pain management. I manage a fitness facility and coordinate community events (health fair, walk/bike-a-thons, etc.). I am 49 years old, in a relationship, and was blessed with one son. I am a Christian who, through many struggles, has learned the meaning of contentment.

I very much so enjoy: quiet moments with my fiance; animals-especially my Shar-Pei; the lake and feeling sand between my toes; traveling and the experience of new surroundings; my career--heart-warming assisting others with healthier lifestyles; working out--oh, how relaxing it can be; friends and family get togethers; crocheting; gardening; football season; and, God and the serenity he has brought into my life.

The secret is to find what you like to do then you will always enjoy exercise. That is how I have such success with my clients :-)!
      Weight Watchers Working / Worked
I do eat some of their products, but mostly I watch portion sizes and eat every three hours. I never feel hungry.

Tai Chi is a mix between martial arts and yoga. I cant explain the overall wellbeing all my clients experience after participating in this form of exercise.
    • Open MRSA

I am a 49 year old exercise science professional that takes great prides in my excellent health. In October 2007, I contracted HA-MRSA from a client (just released from the hospital) at the fitness facility that I manage. My response was, MRSA…what??? Many outbreaks later, I fully understand MRSA and its devastation. I have always been a "clean freak," but now I am an educated germ-fighting, immune-system building warrior who wants to help others learn to cope with MRSA.

      Treatments

      Bactroban Working / Worked
Worked...I have been swabbing my nostrils every morning since January 2008 and nobody around me has contracted MRSA. No side effects.
      Biaxin Somewhat Helpful
      Didn't really see any results.
      Hibiclens Working / Worked
Works for keeping outbreaks under control, but not to be used for more than a couple of weeks at a time as it kills good bacteria need to ward off other outbreaks.
      Vancomycin Somewhat Helpful
Didn't really see any results, but I continually had an upset stomach.
      Washing Working / Worked
WORKED!!! I have always practiced excellent hygene. My dermatologists recommended cleansing with Tea Tree products; Tea Tree Oil has wonderful properties that makes it a popular natural agent for curing all three types of infectious organisms: fungus, bacteria, and virus. Check out this website: http://www.homeremediesweb.com/tea_tree_oil_health_benefits.php. Hope it helps,
      Zyvox Working / Worked
Didn't really see any results, but I continually had an upset stomach.
