About Me
I'm thirty seven years old, mom of a three year old boy, and recent breast cancer survivor. My husband and son have Asperger's Syndrome, and I believe my son also has EDS, so the pieces to the puzzle for all of us are finally coming together.

LoL! I used to make the boys in my grade school class cringe by bending my fingers every which way and when I was teaching karate (I have my blackbelt), I would always be the one demonstrated on when they were going over wrist locks. I would just be standing there as the other sensei was pressing my thumb against my wrist and would just smile at him. It drove him nuts!! Thanks for responding to my post. I felt kinda weird posting since i haven't received a diagnosis yet and haven't even heard back from my rheumatologist yet, since I just found out about EDS and just contacted her about it. I am looking forward to getting to know everyone here :)

Close Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome
I am newly diagnosed with EDS Type III through my Rheumatologist (will get formal diagnosis from Duke University in October). After years of doctor's, I finally found one that told me I had EDS and I had never heard of it before.....what an amazing discovery, feels good to have some validation too. I'm glad to find this website! It's painful for me to type, so I have to take computer breaks, but I'm looking forward to connecting with others that have EDS when I can.
