Close Bipolar Disorder

I was diagnosed Bipolar in July 2005 during a hospital stay following a suicide attempt. I don't like to be in large groups, so an online support group sounds excellent.

Treatments

Abilify Working / Worked

It worked for me. I am planning to get pregnant soon, so my psychiatrist is gradually stopping this medication. I can't think of any side effects except that it made me tired. No big deal though.

Ativan Somewhat Helpful

I took Ativan for a short while for sleep and tremors. It was somewhat helpful.

Haldol Too Soon to Tell

I am new to this medication because of my plans to become pregnant, and it is working very well. I haven't had any suicidal thoughts in a few months, and adding this medication hasn't brought on any, I'm happy to report.

Lamictal Working / Worked

Worked for me. Stopping for same reason as Abilify and Seroquel.

Lithium Not Working

Did not work. I tried to overdose on this medication.

Seroquel Working / Worked

Topamax Somewhat Helpful

Can't really remember.

Zyprexa Not Working

I think I tried to overdose on this medication. I don't think it worked. This was a few years ago.

Thorazine Not Working

I had suicidal thoughts while taking this medication. I stopped taking this medication last year.
