HCV diagnosed in 1992. Suspect acquired around 1981. Attempted TX around 2002. Had a viral load drop, but TX failed. I haven't won the lottery either. At that time the stats were only about 30% will respond to TX: that's a LOW chance of probability. Is the chance any higher now? If not why are so many jumping on the bandwagon? The sides ARE horrible and some of them will be with you for the rest of your life. Is this so called 'cure' worse than the disease? Would my eyes still function well without glasses if not for the TX, would my mind still be sharp as a tack if not for the TX, would my skin... If I could go back in time, I would not have been a guinea-pig for the drug companies.

Close Hepatitis C
I have been looking for a support group. I feel so alone with what I contend with having this disease.
Treatments
- Milk Thistle Working / Worked
- I really do think this helps...
- Pegylated Interferon Not Working
- I did the tx in 2004 and was a non responder.
- Ribavarin Not Working
- Did this in conjunction with the pegylated interferon.
