I have a nice list of inflammatory illnesses. Bad combination of genes. I have degrees in health science, political science, education and theology.

Close Bipolar Disorder
Over educated with degrees in health, political science, education and theology, and photography. Under employed, kind of normal for this economy. Diagnosed with Bipolar disorder in 1984. Mostly hypomanic episodes with one major depressive episode.
Treatments
- Lithium Working / Worked
- Worked well to get manic episodes under control.
Close Ankylosing Spondylitis
I was diagnosed with Spondylitis in 1981 and summarily honorably discharged from the Marine Corps for having it. I thought it wouldn't be that big of a deal, just an annoyance. Well, I was wrong. I have been dealing with it through medication, daily exercises and meditation for 28 years.
Open Crohn's Disease & Ulcerative Colitis
Was diagnosed with Crohn's Disease in 1990. I think I have has just about every side inflammation that you can get with Crohn's.
Treatments
- Azulfidine Working / Worked
- Worked well. Facial edema was the most obvious side effect for me.
- Prednisone Working / Worked
- Quickly got control over internal bleeding.
