Close Diverticulitis

My husband (45 now) had surgery for a blown-out colon about 8 years ago. He is now dealing with another attack . I am trying to find information.

Treatments

High Fiber Diet Somewhat Helpful

After his surgery he did fine and did what the doctor recommended but is having another attach now without much change in his diet. And his doctor is no longer available. And he didn't ask our family doctor what the best diet would be for this flare up of diverticulitis. So he ate more fiber and found out that was the wrong thing to do.

Levaquin Not Working

He took this for 3 days and made him sick as a dog. He had heart racing, couldn't sleep, muscle pain.

Keflex Too Soon to Tell

Doctor change him to this when the Levaquin made him sick.
