I read your response to a posting and I sound like you. I have suffered over 20 years as well and I really dont like taking the meds but I am a believer that we need them. I feel sometimes it is to late to get me better because I have had this for so long. I believe I will always struggle.

Close Panic Attacks
I have panic attacks where I can't take a full deep breath and I feel like I am not getting enough air. I had this for many, many years, but with meds, it went almost completely away. A few weeks ago, it came back with a vengeance.
Treatments
- BuSpar Working / Worked
- still take it daily.
- Klonopin Working / Worked
- Worked, still working a little
- Tofranil Working / Worked
- Started taking it a week and a half ago, now up to 40 mgs. Doc is working me up to 150 slowly.
- Zoloft Working / Worked
- Just started taking it 3 weeks ago. Up to 50 mgs. 2 weeks ago.
- Valium Working / Worked
- 5 mgs. doesnt work that well. Newly prescribed.
Close Anxiety
I live in northern NJ.
Treatments
- BuSpar Somewhat Helpful
- Was told it works well in conjunction with other anti-depreseeants
- Klonopin Somewhat Helpful
- Working somewhat
- Valium Too Soon to Tell
- Not sure. Only 5 mgs. Don't think it's enough for me.
- Zoloft Too Soon to Tell
- Up to 50 mg SID. Only 2 weeks so we'll see. Was on prozac for 15 + years and it pooped out.
- Tofranil Too Soon to Tell
- Working up to 150 mgs. Up to 45 mgs now. Dry mouthconstipation.
