      How's your cholesterol doing? I'm taking zocor and am a chronic pain patient. I'm just starting to wonder whether or not the zocor is adding to my pain condition? Maybe I should stop it for a week and see if there is a difference or not...what do you think? Anyway, have a nice holiday weekend!

      To learn from and help others i their struggles with high cholesterol and statin drugs.

      Treatments

      Aspirin Working / Worked
      Taking baby aspirin just in case.
      Fish Oil Working / Worked
      Lipitor Working / Worked
      Lowered my levels the best of all statins, but made my muscles ache.
      Physical Exercise Working / Worked
      Presently work out with weights, but not aerobically. Statins were hurting my back which prevented my from rowing.
      Pravachol Somewhat Helpful
      Didn't work as well as Lipitor or Zocor, but seemed to lessen my muscle aches...at first. After a few months, it was back to sore a sore back and fatigue. Have since stopped taking it and the soreness has all but disappeared.
      Questran Not Working
      Didn't lower my lipid levels nearly enough.
      Red Wine Considering
      Hey, sounds good to me!
      Red Yeast Rice Considering
      Tricor Working / Worked
      Zocor Working / Worked
      Similar to Lipitor, it lowered my levels buy made me ache too much.
