How's your cholesterol doing? I'm taking zocor and am a chronic pain patient. I'm just starting to wonder whether or not the zocor is adding to my pain condition? Maybe I should stop it for a week and see if there is a difference or not...what do you think? Anyway, have a nice holiday weekend!

Close High Cholesterol
To learn from and help others i their struggles with high cholesterol and statin drugs.
Treatments
- Aspirin Working / Worked
- Taking baby aspirin just in case.
- Fish Oil Working / Worked
- Lipitor Working / Worked
- Lowered my levels the best of all statins, but made my muscles ache.
- Physical Exercise Working / Worked
- Presently work out with weights, but not aerobically. Statins were hurting my back which prevented my from rowing.
- Pravachol Somewhat Helpful
- Didn't work as well as Lipitor or Zocor, but seemed to lessen my muscle aches...at first. After a few months, it was back to sore a sore back and fatigue. Have since stopped taking it and the soreness has all but disappeared.
- Questran Not Working
- Didn't lower my lipid levels nearly enough.
- Red Wine Considering
- Hey, sounds good to me!
- Red Yeast Rice Considering
- Tricor Working / Worked
- Zocor Working / Worked
- Similar to Lipitor, it lowered my levels buy made me ache too much.
