i had three nerve blocks, two for neck and one for ocipital neuralgia. this helped settle down disc issues in neck then we could work on my face. blocks didn't help my facial pain. i had surgery, the motor cortex stimulator and am doing better but no cure. i am also on maint meds. still have to avoid the triggers.
just keep researching and try and find the least invasive treatments. do you have dental issues?

Close Trigeminal Neuralgia
I was diagnosed with Trigeminal Neuralgia last month. It is my hope, that I might offer encouragement and support, and find answers to my many questions.
Treatments
- Neurontin Somewhat Helpful
- I was put on Gabapentin 300mg twice daily 23 days ago. It addresses the throbbinglike toothache pain I have from time to time. However I still feel the intense crushing pressure in my lower jaw and teeth. Which is painful. As well as sore teeth that feel like they have cavity spots. Dental Xrays proved otherwise. I have had no side effects from this med. and believe I need to be on a much higher dosage to fully benefit the rewards.
