Close MRSA
On 6/9/09 I had cervical spinal surgery.On my month follow up, Neur gave me script for keflex because of redness in incision site. It did not heal. 5 days later my PCP drained and cultured the infected area..Got a call 2 days later--MRSA---I am freaking out and honestly don't think I can cope with this.I am so worried about passing it to my family and also getting repeat infections.
Treatments
- Bactrim DS Working / Worked
- On 2nd day, and it seems to be clearing. My PCP while waiting for my culture, gave me a paste of iodine and sugar which I believe also helped....Stomach a bit queasy but not bad
- Washing Working / Worked
- Now that I found out I cannot wash my hand enough...Hindsight is 20/20
- Xanax Not Working
- Scared to death...afraid of becoming a germaphobe after never fearing such things...
