I found out I'd been effected by Daltanism after failing the color portion of a vision test. I was shocked. To this day, I wonder how things really look like to other people. I know there are filters that help those with normal color vision see what we see, but there ought to be a way to do that in reverse. I know that it would be difficult since the magnitude of the deficiency can be different in different people, but such a program could be calibrated frequently with help of a professional.
