About Me
I am a widow, living by myself on a small acreage. Over the years I have learned to love nature and animals of all sorts and my friends are my passion. My household includes fur bearers of all sorts and a few assorted feather bearers. I am a mama to certain wildlife and struggle to keep my household doing well. In past years I worked in a mental hospital and with mentally ill patients in community outreach. I try to understand things on a biochemical level.

You're so right about my neuro. He was a jerk but of all the few I've had they all are 'winners' one way or another. I think I will give him another chance as he is the best so far up to now. Maybe he thought I'd be all better doing PT? I think I will be soon!

Close Bipolar Disorder
Advice for myself and for a bipolar niece who is having some tough times. I was diagnosed years ago. I am not familar with newer medicines and their side effects and would like others opinions and stories to help out.
Treatments
- Ativan Working / Worked
- effective for sleep/nervousness
- Lithium Working / Worked
- Worked pretty well but was time consuming and sort of dangerous in the problems of overdose and side effects. I had bad leg cramps with lithium
- Wellbutrin Working / Worked
- worked okay. Not a cure
