    • About Me

My husband and I have been married for the past 23 years. We've been separated for the past 16 and have just reconciled. This time its for good. We've got 4 kids between us, our 2 youngest daughters being the closest to us. They're all very supportive and I love them all. This is where I get to speak to my friends, the people who totally understand what this disease is all about. You don't have to explain everything to everyone all the time. No one judges you. Nice place to be.

    • Close Hepatitis C

Apparently my doctors feel I was exposed to Hep C about 20 years ago or so. I have no idea how I got it. My diagnosis came in 2005 but without insurance I really didn't pursue treatment. Since Feb. 09

      Treatments

      Milk Thistle Working / Worked
The only thing I can say is I've been taking it for about 3 months and I've been feeling better than I was before that so I assume it's having some benefits.
      Prozac Working / Worked
Seems to be helping me stay more positive
      Reading Working / Worked
Knowledge is power. I learn more on my own than I do from the doctors and clinics I go to.
      Cold Turkey Working / Worked
Gave up drinking 2/7/09. Not a drop since.
    • Close Cirrhosis

Stage 4 Cirrhosis, need a transplant

      Positivity is the best medicine.
      Prozac Working / Worked
      Ditto
      Reading Working / Worked
