My Name is Karen i am 42 yrs old with 2 sons. I am a single parent. I was DX with MS on Dec 5, 2003.I was in a wheel chair for 3 months but, i am walking now. MS is a disease that is always there it never goes away not even for a minute.I also have OCD, Colitis and, suffer from MS mood disorder which is under control now. My eldest son suffers from Dyspraxia he to is doing really well right now but, his depression is high right now ( school going back in ai think)

Close Multiple Sclerosis (MS)
Type: Relapsing-remitting MSI woke up paralized on the right side on Dec 3,03 i was later that week told i had MS. I was in a wheel chair for 3 months but, now i am walking. Still have MS symptoms everyday but, otherwise doing good.
Treatments
- Baclofen Working / Worked
- The baclofen helps with my Spasms/spasticity
- Beta Interferon Working / Worked
- Yes working
- Neurontin Working / Worked
- I went off it but, had to go back on due to alot of nerve pain. gained weight on it.
- Rebif Working / Worked
- Yes working well for me have now had a relapse since being DX in 2003
Close Dyspraxia & Apraxia
My Son was DX with Dyspraxia in grade 6 after many years. His kindergarten teacher saw something in him that just was not right. He is doing very well now & i find i can only see his Dyspraxia with his emotions & dealing with people.
Treatments
- Physical Therapy Somewhat Helpful
- When he was first DX he had therapy on his legs & it continued through his grades.
