      RN, recently taking a break after 19yrs. I've gained 12#s in the 7 mths I've been off! I'm pre-menopausal & so the battle of the bulge is upon me! I was dx 8yrs ago w/borderline high cholesterol. High LDLs. I refused statins back then, have pretty much kepted my levels borderline w/ no increase. HOWEVER, w/my body changing & a decrease in activity, my levels have shot up higher than they've ever been! I DO NOT want to go on medication. I need support to take off 20#s. HELP!

      I did really well in Iowa considering ALL the food!! DESSERTS~OMG!..My mom went w/me and we did walk some, stayed busy and didn't just sit around …

      Nice job on the 6 lbs! Yes, I find it much easier to just cut back on food intake, too. I'm having a tough time working out because of the heat as well. I'll be happy when September comes! Fall is my favorite time of the year! Take Care :) H

      Im with you!!!2 to 3 lbs!!!I havent been able to exercise yet because I have had a sinus headache for the last 3 days but I have started eating better...Exercise here I come tomorrow.Enjoy your visit sweetie and let me know how it goes..

      Lost 33#s 9yrs ago through PRISM. Was 120#s at 5'8 for my 20th class reunion :D
      Eating Healthier Foods Working / Worked
      I need to stay focused on healthy eating to get my cholesterol down w/o meds.
      Eat Less Working / Worked
      Works when I actually do it.
      Physical Exercise Working / Worked
      Yes, very much so, just TOO hot to walk in Texas right now! 105!! Need to keep up my exercise by doing an inside activity. Can't afford the gym.

      Need to pic up the pace inside rather than outside until TEXAS heat GOES. It's 105 today! Need motivation and accountability.

      Treatments

      Aerobics Working / Worked
      Definitely works if you stick to it. I need to get out my old Richard Simmons TAPES~~that's what I'll do for my workout tomorrow, if I can find them. Ya'll hold me to it!
      Strength Training Working / Worked
      I used to go to the gym on and off, but no longer have a membership. Can't afford. Definitely works, just like anything else if you stick to it!
