I have bipolar II and seem to struggle more with depression than anything else. I am functioning at work by pushing myself to go. 2 kids (teenagers now!) 3 dogs and 2 cats.

- Cognitive Behavioral Therapy Working / Worked
- "Feeling Good, the New Mood Therapy" very useful
- Effexor Working / Worked
- working, went off of it in the past and had very bad withdrawal, anxiety came back full force, had to go back on it
- Elavil Working / Worked
- took it for migraines. worked well but gained a lot of weight. Had to stop taking it for that reason.
- Geodon Working / Worked
- worked well for my depression. snapped me right out of it. but couldn't tolerate the side effects. jaw tightness. muscle stiffness. akathisia.(restlessness)
- Prozac Working / Worked
- worked in the past, not on it now, no side effects
- Trazodone Not Working
- tried it once, made me too groggy
- Wellbutrin Working / Worked
- was on it for a long time and it seemed to work well. It did seem to cause some ringing in my ears.
- Writing Working / Worked
- I keep a daily journal that keeps me sane. I track everything, sleep, weight, food log, feelings.
- Zoloft Not Working
- tried in the past. couldn't tolerate the side effects. kept yawning all the time.

- upset my stomach and made me too nervous
- Ativan Working / Worked
- helps with anxiety and insomnia
- Lamictal Working / Worked
- caused insomnia
- Lithium Working / Worked
- caused tremors
- Seroquel Working / Worked
- too sedating
- Tegretol Working / Worked
- caused dizziness
- Topamax Working / Worked
- started for migraine headaches but has worked well for mood stabilizer
- Wellbutrin Working / Worked
- caused ringing in the ears
