About Me
I like short walks through the bamboo to a comfy spot to sleep - and also odd humor ... I am married to a badger (but at least we share similar markings on our fur), father to 6 kids and a spare (my ex-wife's sister's son) between ages 5 and 17, have 3 dogs (a Boxer/Pit mix and 2 pure breed IG's), 6 cats (2 of which are named Beltaine), 3 snakes, 3 ferrets, 2 rats and a hamster named Spike after everyone's favorite vampire ... I work at PNNL, drive the oldest most beat up mini-van known to still run, live in a desert even though I hate the heat, and I love a good chicken-garlic-bacon-onion on alfredo sauce pizza ... I have black belts in 2 martial arts, and a brown belt in a 3rd, but I can no longer touch my toes or even wear a gi thanks to developing my own private gravitational field ... I'm 6' 1" tall and weigh 415# - I don't know how many Stone that is for my UK friends but I'm guessing it's enough to qualify me for BOULDER ... Provigil 200mg 2x per day is my new bestest friend ... I have an MA in Ethics & Religious Studies from a Catholic University, am a practicing Wiccan priest and I prefer to perform weddings over funerals but do both. I live in a conservative Republican town and I voted for Obama, but I might have voted for McCain if he hadn't ran with Palin ... I am not afraid to offer my opinion, nor am I afraid of listening to other peoples opinions, and my opinion is ALWAYS subject to change

Interests
Lists - I like lists - as long as they are entertaining. This isn't that sort of list, sadly. So in no particular order: Philosophy, World Religions, Spirituality, New Age and Old Age Paganism, Wicca, History (especially religious), Movies, Sci-Fi/Fantasy Books, MMO's (especially WoW), Playing Rock Band, my Kids, my Pets, Pets in general, Animal Rights, Gay Rights, Gay Marriage, brewing Mead, Martial Arts, MMA, Strongman Competitions, the history of the Occult, Ghost Stories, Lucid Dreams, Dream Walking, my Wife (who I find to be VERY interesting indeed) ... I am sure there is more - of course there is - but I'm sleepy again so it will have to wait

Moment of Peace
We were looking into the domestic partnership thing, but we had some loose ends----basically you have to be unmarried, and my partner hasn't been able to afford to do an official divorce on paper, even though she hasn't even seen him with her own eyes in like 5 or 6 years. Now we could afford it, but we're moving to New Mexico, LOL. Even if we stayed here longer to try and get the Domestic Partnership (which we were ecstatic about when they finally came through on it), it wouldn't count for anything down there, unfortunately. Sigh. Too bad. But, fortunately, they can make all the laws they want to against or for us but I believe that no one's marriage is up to the gov't to judge it's legitimacy. It's just the little sticky things in the hospitals and with kids that make problems for us. ---Jay
