I am a 25 year old woman from sweden. I live with my fiance and my two chihuahuas. I was diagnosed with Lupus(sle) recently, May 2009. I was diagnosed with alopecia universalis december 2001 The worst thing for me about this disease is that I am always terribly tired and have so much pain. I go through depression and anxiety from time to time.

I feel for you. I can still hear some family members telling me that I was getting fatter and needed to do something before things got out of control. Come to find out that my body had been reacting to my condition and also the fact that the medication too had a negative effect. Going by mirrors has been rather interesting. Hate is a very strong word. I was looking at your photos and I loved each and every one of your shots. Your are a very special person.

Happy Belated Birthday! Hope you had a good one & that this year is much better for you. My last dog had Cushings and she used to just pee and drink more water when she was having episodes. Not sure if it effects dogs differently just like the lupus with us but for her, she was okay with it and lived till 12 and died from unrelated tragic accident. So, hopefuly Diva will be fine and just need more babying which I know you probably already give her so she will live a long time with such a loving mommy to take care of her. Good thing she still has you :)

Diagnosed with SLE/Lupus March 2009 after many years of illness, pain and being tired. Recently started Plaquenil. So far so good.

- Working very well! BUT Ive had terrible side effects such as anxiety, headache. brainfog, sleeping problems, nervousness. Terrible!!
Close Alopecia Areata
Got diagnosed with alopecia universalis december 2001. Lost all my hair, lashes and brows in 14 days. It was terrible but now I accept my condition and I feel hot in glamourous wigs :)
Open Bipolar Disorder
Anorexia at the age of 13, sleeping disorder and nightmares age of 15, anxiety and depressions from age of 16. Still have heavy sleeping disorders and anxiety. Diagnosed with Bipolar 2008. But maybe is it the lupus mimicing? Time will tell....
