Yea I have Degenerative disc disease, and my mom also has the same problems in her lumbar that I do...I am constantly having buldging or herniated disc, leg pain.....ect!! I am constantly in pain:( Good luck on your surgery:)

Close Chronic Pain
I start 5 years ago chasing a pain under my left shoulder blade. pills, excersice - nothing - p;ills, injections and PT - nothing now I find out i have Cervical stenosis and then some
Treatments
- Flexeril Working / Worked
- This works good easing the tension that builds up from my constant bracing and is much cheaper than a daily massage.
- Hydrocodone Somewhat Helpful
- Works enough that i dont fee like ripping my spine out
- Meditation Somewhat Helpful
- the pain can be light and it really helps if the pain is heavy it brings it down to a managable level. just hard to find time to do this when i am at work.
- Nerve Blocks Working / Worked
- this works great but for the cost the effect is short lived but you will get a few good weeks.
- Physical Therapy Not Working
- I had doubts about PT for cervical stenoiss - all it did for me was hurt.
- TENS Working / Worked
- this is a great release for short term benefits but works best if i know i have to be up cleaning.
- Crying Working / Worked
- driving to work my pain become unbareable, i called my mom and cryed all the way to work, when i arrived i felt releif some from the pain but mostly holding in the hurt caused additional pain.
