Thank you so much for the hug, Tim rash was to bad for treatment today, the oncologist canceled it...I*'m hoping the Torisel isn't starting with a bad rash again, he went thru this the first time he started it... The Torisel is keeping his lungs stable, i'm sure he will be alot better next week...
My hand is the same and i am expecting an emg in a few weeks and it may wake up the nerve, with alot of hope & prayers

thank you for the hug, how are you doing with all this going on ?? I didn't know what meninoma was so i looked it up, i'm very sorry that they just found that a few weeks ago, you do sound like you are in good spirits....If there is anything that i can do let me know ok ??
My Tim is doing very well he's on weekly Torisel infusions since Jan 11th this year and has only had 4mm's off his lung mass and 2mm's off his nodules, so the oncologist isn't expecting any srinkage and she wants to keep him stable, thats what we're all hoping for, we'll know in 4 weeks when he has his 3mo. catscan....Tim kidney biopsy was a grade 4 and it was in his fatty tissue and adrenal gland and moved to his lungs and one rib...With all this he still works, which is good for him right now, so he is doing well...Thank you for the prayers and i will definately pray for you, have a good night Kelly,

Close Renal Cell Carcinoma (Kidney Cancer)
I'm Kelly. 47 y/o, mother of 2. DX with RCC 4/26/09, rad neph on 5/29/09. It was intended to be a partial but once in there it was discovered that the tumor had grown into the fatty tissue. At the same time I had both ovaries removed along with a mass of scar tissue. The pathology on that came back fine. I had expected the kidney to be stage one, however the pathology report confirmed 7 cm, stage 3a, grade two. Recently dx with meningioma 1.5 cm.
Treatments
- Nephrectomy Working / Worked
- I had an open radical nephrectomy because they were also removing my ovaries. My incision was down the middle of my abdomen, which made my recovery easier. I was in the hospital 5 days and was off of the pain meds completely after about 10 days. Went back to work part time (office/desk job) at 3 weeks, just returning to full time after 6 weeks.
