Close Chronic Pain
I have chronic pain syndrome, fibromyalgia, herniated discs, sarcoidosis, chromic myofascial pain, osteoarthritis, knee pain, swollen joints. I would like to discuss these things with others who have similar problems and give support.
Treatments
- Cymbalta Working / Worked
- Yes it helps depression.
- Heat Working / Worked
- Sometimes. Hot baths work better.
- Lidoderm Working / Worked
- Yes it works for back pain, fibromyalgia pain, elbow pain, knee pain.
- Nerve Blocks Working / Worked
- I had a rhizotomy which worked great. The pain comes back though as the nerves grow back. I want to have another soon.
- Oxycodone Working / Worked
- I don't use it now, but it worked somewhat for breakthrough pain.
- Duragesic Patch Working / Worked
- Yes it works very well. If it wasnt for the patch I would not be able to do everyday tasks. You have to be careful though and put them on at the same time of the day. Also you have to remember that getting overheated like a hot bath extreme temperatures outside etc. will make the patch release medication faster. I do have some side effects which are not being able to remember things sleepiness.
Close Sarcoidosis
Diagnosed in 2000 with sarcoidosis and erythema nodosum. (lungs, eyes, salivary, muscles in legs, arms). I would like to share information and my experiences with this disease. I feel I would be helpful and that you could help me. thanks.
Treatments
- Prednisone Somewhat Helpful
- I feel that it helped to a certain degree, but it is not the cure that I needed. The medicine is bad, it causes damage. Side effects were awful. Emotional ups and downs, insomnia, weight gain, high blood pressure.
