Today is my birthday. I am 40 today!!!!

I've been curious and dreading this day for a long time, but it's here and I'm the same person I was yesterday. And it really truly is just a number. It has nothing to do with my abilities or hope or dreams or potential. I'm still me.

I slept insanely late but I won't feel guilty. I"m doing whatever the hell I want to do today. I was starting to get in a tizzy wanting to straighten up and do things but I need to give myself and break and just go with he flow and relax, even if it's for one day. I think I'll go get a mani/pedi later. I think I will walk/run today because that is good for me and makes me feel awesome, but besides that I will sit and read and maybe play around in the yard because I like to do that. Whatever, it doesn't matter.

I went to my brother's this weekend and we had a party for me. It was really fun to get the attention and adulation for once, I must admit. We had so much good food, my brother boiled some crawfish- and he's really the best.  I got lots of presents and even some money. The husband had gotten me the Wii fit already a few weeks ago.

It's all good, I have no reason to complain, especially if someone would magically appear to clean my house. (*hint to the gods*) My life isn't that different from the life I had when I was was miserable and complaining all the time, it's all in the attitude and what you choose to see in it and how you interpret the facts. I"m trying very hard to see my blessings and maybe the rest will disappear just because I refuse to give it attention. 

It's a good day to be 40!!!!
