      Hi ShariRead,
      It was nice to see another Oregonian on DS. I live in Seaside. I was 1st diagnosed in Sept04. I had surgery on both kidneys(kept them both). In Aug06, I found out it metasized to my lungs and lymph nodes. I have had different treatments with no success. My oncologist decided to try Torisel and I have been stable now for 15 months. It is not easy to be a caregiver. I think it is harder on the caregiver than it is on the patient. My prayers are with you. Where does your mother live and what treatment is she on?

      It's tough and no words can make it better. Just know that you have the support you need here. Prayer helps and it really does not matter who you pray to. Just know that there is a bigger power somewhere. It is the only way I can get through this.
