Business owner. Married and 2 children, a boy and a girl. I have recently been diagnosed with Bipolar 1 after dealing with it for years. Thought it was normal until I hit bottom and got some help. It was just getting too much to handle. I am glad I did but worried about the meds and dealing with knowing what I have now.

Close Bipolar Disorder
I have just been diagnosed with bipolar disorder. This has been un or misdiagnosed for years. I apparently have had this for years now and I thought it was normal for me.
Treatments
- Group Therapy Somewhat Helpful
- Groups were okay for some things. Opening up was a big issue for me in front of people.
- Lithium Working / Worked
- Risperdal Working / Worked
- Helped with the mania and sleeping but that was about it.
- Seroquel Working / Worked
- I use it for helping me sleep. Seems to work well but I am useless the next day.
