About Me
I am a 31 year old, married mother of one son. I have an amazing husband who is a phenomenal father. He has given up a lot to allow me to go to graduate school. My husband & I have been together for 11.5 years. After years of being told we would never have children, we found an amazing fertility specialist and were able to have a child, our beautiful son, who starts kindergarten in the fall when I begin my internship. I currently stay at home while I am working on my master's.

Interests
My son is my most rewarding interest & keeps me on my toes. I enjoy reading anything to do with therapy & politics. I am going to school to be a therapist so honestly, the reading, writing papers, & clinical work never ends.

- Laser Surgery Working / Worked
- I have had 4. This along with a hysteroscopy back in 2003, allowed me to become pregnant & carry to full term. My last was in May of 2007.
- Lupron Not Working
- This was the worst experience of my life. I was 19 years old 1998 had just been diagnosed told I would never have children because of the damage working to understand the disease. My OB kept me on the therapy for 9 months. I was a crazy person. One minute I would be crying and the next I would be angry. I do not recommend this therapy to anyone it was the worst experience of my life
- Mirena Working / Worked
- I started this therapy in January of 2009 & it has helped tremendously. Because of insurance, it is much more affordable than long term birth control, like the Nuva Ring, that adds up because of there being no generic.
- Provera Not Working
- I had a horrible experience with this back when I was 21 years old. I had the opposite reaction, a menstrual cycle lasting for 14 weeks. Not only did it mess with my hormones, but the pain was excruciating.
- Surgery Working / Worked
- Last was in May of 2007. We are set to schedule my next in December of this year during my winter break from graduate school.
Close Parenting Big Kids (5-8)
To see that I am not the only parent dealing with some of the challenges we face with our "big kids."
Treatments
- Education (School) Working / Worked
- He is a very social child & has never had any issues in the school setting. He has been at home with me since he graduated from pre-k in May. Everyday when we practice our reading he tells me, "I'm tired of you being my teacher, I want to go to kindergarten."
- Listening Working / Worked
- I've always listened to him; however he is such a head strong child that he doesn't want to listen to us!
- Patience Working / Worked
- I think this is a challenge with every parent in the world.
