Dear JDitto-I can relate to your feelings of fear, and total shock about the renal cancer that they just discovered. Last September I was a total wreck-to put it mildly-because my husband had the exact same thing happen. Out of the blue-he went in for what he thought was appendicitis-in perfect health-54 years old. THE GREAT NEWS is exactly what someone else told you-It is a SMALL size and sounds early stage as my husbands was. He had his left kidney removed and so far so good.
XX OTHER WORDS OF HOPE- My husbands fantastic surgeon at JOHNS HOPKINS told him Kidney cancer is very isolated if caught soon-and is totally unrelated to Colon cancer.
Make certain you feel good about your doctor and get a second opinion from a teaching hospital if possible.
