    • Close Prolactinoma

      TTC but after I stopped the pill experienced Amenhorrea for 7 months. Blood worked indicated elevated prolactin (61).MRI showed Macroadenoma 1.1cm. Surgery to remove in August 2009. Surgeon found a small prolactinoma, but a larger cyst surrounding it. Awaiting followup visit.

      Treatments

      Dostinex Too Soon to Tell
      Started on Cabergoline 7/2/09. .25mg twice a week. Stopped when I had surgery to remove the pituitary growth.
      Surgery Working / Worked
      Awaiting follow up visit/bloodwork/MRI etc, but appears surgery was successful in removing what ended up being a functionign prolactinoma surrounded by a cyst.

      Have experienced amenhorrea since coming off BCP in November 08. Diagnosed with pituitary tumor which was removed in Aug 09, but still have not gotten my period.
