i am so sorry to hear of your delema. I think I would continue to watch and try to get pregnant- at least for a while longer. Have you tried invertro. of course you could have eggs removed and have a surrogate carry a baby for you. I know that may seem a little strange for some but it would be your baby. So many hard choices with hysterectomy. I was finished having kids, mine are both in there 20's. I had fibroids and all sorts of trouble but you are right it still changes things..its different to not want kids then it is to not be able to. As far as the sex life after. Well most people say no problems at all. I had a few but its only been 3 months and it is slowly coming back. Not exactly the same but its starting to work now. I am very interested in the tests that you had done. How, where and how much to have those done. Do they test for other cancers too. My grandmother died of olvarian cancer. I left my ovaries and every day i worry that i should have removed them. then my mom had lung cancer which spread to the brain. they were both young. my mom was only 58 when she passed. so back to the trying to have a baby..i know it will be hard now but i have had friends in the past who had trouble who would ask me how i got pregnant so easy..i say, relax and have fun with it...all of them once they quit trying ended up pregnant. i think the stress of trying sometimes for some reason makes it not happen.

    • Close Hysterectomy

My mom died of Ovarian Cancer at a young age of 54. I have since taken a gentics test that shows positive for my moms mutaed gene that caused her cancer in which we where all unaware till it was to late. The doctors tell me because I tested positive and I am the next generation I am at a very high risk for Ovarian cancer, uterine, cervical, & breast cancer. They said in order to prevent I should remove all my female organs to be safe.
