Close Tourette Syndrome & Tic Disorders
I have Adult Tourette's Syndrome, and am being treated for it.
Treatments
- Risperdal Not Working
- I took Risperdal and all it did was make me gain 50 lbs, begin lactating, and give me body temperature problems, ultimately making my Tourette'sworse.
- Wellbutrin Working / Worked
- This drug is much more safe has little sideeffects for me and does not affect libido or weight. It has helped to lifted me out of depression helped me quit smoking as a bonus. and given me more control over my Tourettes. Side effect sometimes insomnia.
- Zoloft Not Working
- No this did not help me. It gave me an awful lot of problems with sexual function and slowed me down did not help too well with the OCDTourettes.
- Xanax Working / Worked
- I do not suggest taking this everyday only when one needs it but it sure does help when I cannot calm myself down.
- Klonopin Not Working
- I have developed a tolerance.
- Depakote Not Working
- DO NOT go NEAR this drug. It is nasty stuff alongside Risperdal. It gave me Liver Toxicity and I couldve ended up in the Hospital.

- This just keeps my brains switch on.
- Lavender Working / Worked
- Safe tea/aromatherapy technique.
- Music Working / Worked
- Helps a bit.
- Rozerem Not Working
- Worked one night, and never again.
- Trazodone Working / Worked
- The only sleep medication that has worked for me.
- Valerian Working / Worked
- Works, but be careful of medication interaction.
- Massage Working / Worked
- I always fall right to sleep after a good massage.
