About Me
Proud mom to two boys. Been trying to cope with a couple of severe illnesses, mostly on my own. I'm recovering from a marathon of four surgeries for my Crohn's, but it hasn't worked out the way the doc had hoped it would. My personal life collapsed under the strain of my health problems, and now I'm starting over. It's much harder than I thought it would be. My sons are my biggest support, followed closely by my companion dog. He is always at my side, and I believe that he helps a great deal. I have been "retired" for over two years now. Doc said I can't go back to work, and it's not all it's cracked up to be. But I make the best of it.

Interests
I read alot of books, and I'm writing a book with help from my mother on finding lighter side of Crohn's Disease. I play games alot, walk with my companion dog often, and just try to keep busy. I study ancient history, and am preparing to be a pre-ostomy counsellor at my local hospital.

Close Crohn's Disease & Ulcerative Colitis
Been diagnosed for just over three years. Have had five surgeries in the last sixteen months to try to control my Crohns, after traditional therapies failed. Nothing we've done has helped at all. Got an ileostomy in April hoping to slow it down.
