Close Carpal Tunnel Syndrome

have had CTS undiagnosed since i was 23, my new Doctor diagnosed me a couple of months ago though i knew what i had and it is sometimes aggravated by Tendonitis. I am considering asking about the surgery but i can't decide if it is bad enough to go i am used to the pain now and can just get on with things i have changed how i work and play and surgery scares me.

Treatments

Ibuprofen Working / Worked

I am one of those annoying people that does not like taking tablets and Generally i can deal with the pain. sometimes I think i am just being stupid however, why do i put myself through the discomfort and pain when for me an ibuprofen and paracetamol cocktail work very well for the most part.

Wrist Splint Working / Worked

i have about 5 different types now, elastic supports for typing when the pain gets bad and idon't have the time to stop. ones with metal that i have been instructed to sleep in ( tho a physio told me the Dr was wrong and this would weaken the muscles) i just can't sleep in the bloody things however and when i try i always find them halfway across the room the next morning
